Question: Can you clarify response times.  Julie law now is 48 hours not including the day its called in. Does this apply?

Answer:  Yes the day called in does not count

Question:  Can you clarify this statement? -The Contractor shall complete all EMERGENCY J.U.L.I.E. LOCATE REQUESTS within 90 MINUTES from receipt of the e-mail request. EMERGENCY requests must be completed within 30 MINUTES, 365 days per year, 24 hours per day- Is it 90 minutes to accept the job and show up and then another 30 to locate?

Answer: There is a minimum wait time of 2 hours after an emergency request is made through JULIE. If the conditions at the site dictate an earlier start than the date and time on the notice, it is the responsibility of the excavator to demonstrate that site conditions warranted this earlier start time.

Question: Will we get a KMZ to work off of or do you have a different mapping system?

Answer: We have a publicly viewable map of our storm sewer data here: https://lakecountyil.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=4129e4a048564e4da5e3b4d0eaac2414

Question: Do you require watch protects managed by us?

Answer:    No

Question: What system do you work off of for screening tickets? How will we get notified of a regular ticket and emergency tickets?

Answer: LCDOT uses an in-house system for initially screening tickets. We forward those tickets to the contractor for response. We can send the tickets via plain-text email or we can send it via XML or JSON, however they want it. After-hours can be sent directly from JULIE via plain-text email or XML.
