Question 1: Is there a specific brand of Spider Kill you would like us to use on the window frames? Are there any restrictions on chemicals, tools, or water-fed pole systems
Answer 1: Lake County does not have any preferences or restrictions, however, as an environmentally friendly county, we would like to review any material product data sheets before they are used.
Question 2: Your bid requests active apprenticeship certificates; however, neither the state of Illinois nor the Department of Labor recognizes an apprenticeship program for window washers. Can you please clarify what, if anything is needed in this regard?
Answer 2: In accordance with Lake County's Responsible Bidder Ordinance, to be deemed responsive, bidders must participate in active apprenticeship and training programs approved and registered with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship for each of the trades of work contemplated under the awarded contract. The bidder shall submit copies of apprenticeship certificates with the bid submission.
