Question 1. Please advise the type of Spray Lining that is specified for this contract.
Response: Please reference specification sections 02957, 02958 and 02959.

Question 2. Does the backfill at Section 2 need to be CLSM? If not please provide the details on backfill.
Question 3. During the shutdowns, can the work be completed 24 hours per day?
Response: Yes, see Specification 01000 Paragraph 1.3 A. 2.
Question 4. With cutting in the pipe, cleaning, performing the pipe work, installing the new pipe sections… we believe the 6 outages is not enough to perform the work. Can the outages be increased? Is 12 outages acceptable?
Question 5. Does the backfill for the exploratory excavation need to be tested? If so can you provide the testing requirements?
Response: Yes, see Specification Section 02250 for testing and compaction requirements.
Question 6. Under the unit prices, what is the difference between Item C and Item D?
Response: Item C includes CA-7 course aggregate stone, Item D includes CA-6 course aggregate stone.
Question 7. What are the pavement requirements?
Response: See Specification 02500 Paragraph 3.2 C.
Question 8. Do the joints of the pipe need to be “filled In” to before the liner is installed.
Response: No, but per specifications the liner shall provide continuous coverage over its entire length.
Question 9. What is the owner’s estimate on this project?
Response: The engineers estimate is $1.38 million.
